Micro Brite

MICRO BRITE is a hydrofluoric acid solution used for deoxidizing metal.

A light brushing of a part with Micro Brite will clean it of discoloration and oxidation from heat in seconds.
Micro Brite also removes trapped hydrocarbons and oxides from EDMed surfaces.
Micro Brite is available in 1 Liter bottles
 (When used according to directions Micro Brite won’t harm even the most highly polished surfaces.)

Instructions for Use

This is an acid solution.   Exercise caution when utilizing this product.

• Gloves must be worn, and eye protection is recommended.
• Prolonged exposure of certain metals to this product may etch and should be avoided.
• Experimentation with specific conditions is recommended. 
• Because surface is critically cleaned after treatment it must be neutralized or flash rusting could occur .
• Highly concentrated neutralizer-Galvex Cleaner is included. This neutralizes the acid and protects the surface from oxidation and flash rusting. 
• It is an important last step when using Micro Brite.
• Do not use Micro Brite on aluminum or metal with high chromium content.
• Practice on test blocks using different alloys to practice your technique.
• After welding bring the work to a rinsing area, have Micro Brite, Galvex, water, and an air hose ready.
• Put on rubber gloves. Apply Micro Brite sparingly using light scrubbing action.
• Wait just a few seconds then rinse thoroughly. Apply Galvex neutralizer.
• Dry immediately using an air hose paying close attention to drying hands to prevent leaving wet fingerprints.
• Spray with light oil before shipping.
• You’re done!
